WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup: USA and Japan stay undefeated after Day 1 of the Super Round

The defending World Champions needed only five innings to shut out Mexico. Ruka Kawaai hit a three-run homer to take Japan over Chinese Taipei. Puerto Rico used a couple of late-inning rallies to open the score against Czechia. In the Placement Round, American Samoa outscored Australia and earned their first win at the world level. Canada beat Italy and has sole possession of first place. Singapore defeated Spain to earn their first win.
