Czechia, Netherlands to tune up together for WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage
World No. 10 Czechia will host No. 6 Netherlands in a friendly series as both teams prepare for the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage 2026 with a four-game series, which will take place in Prague from 19 to 21 May.
Both teams will participate in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage later this year. Czechia will host Group Prague from 16 to 20 June - facing No. 4 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 Italy, No. 11 Australia and No. 14 Cuba - while the Netherlands will compete in Group Oklahoma City from 12 to 16 September against No. 2 USA, No. 7 Mexico, No. 8 China, No. 23 New Zealand and No. 36 South Africa.
The WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup will serve as the first qualification event for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with the highest-placed team in the Finals standings, excluding USA, earning a berth for softball’s return to the Olympic stage.
