WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Group Prague 2026: Media Accreditation process now open

All members of the media must register through the MyWBSC platform by Friday, June 12. World No. 10 Czechia will host the event at the Stadium of Joudrs in Prague from June 16 to 20, facing No. 4 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 Italy, No. 11 Australia, and No. 14 Cuba.

Media registration is open for Group Prague of the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage 2026. The Czech Softball Association will host the event at the Stadium of Joudrs in Prague from June 16 to 20. The registration deadline is Friday, June 12.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the Women's Softball World Cup Group Prague 2026 must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https://my.wbsc.org. Members of the media who had credentials approved for previous WBSC events must also register.

Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage

The accreditation procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online request form needs to be completed, including a headshot photo.

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received. Media planning to cover the event remotely should contact the WBSC Media Department at media@wbsc.org.

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Members of the media willing to double-check the submitted application or its status (after the June 12 deadline) need to click on SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION and complete all the fields in the search form. Information (name, surname, e-mail address) must match that used in the application form

The WBSC will share a protocol for media interviews with accredited media during the Women's Softball World Cup - Group Prague 2026 before the tournament opens.

GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA

  • Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of WBSC events.
  • NRH media credentials provide access to official training sessions, games, and Opening/Closing Ceremonies.
  • Specific categories will grant credentials (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio and TV, Team Media), and stadium access will be given accordingly.
  • Photographers, NRH TV crews, and Team Media will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.

The Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage 2026

The WBSC Women's Softball World Cup 2026/2027 is a two-stage event. Group Prague is the first of three six-team groups in the 2026 Group Stage. World No. 10 Czechia will host No. 4 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 Italy, No. 11 Australia and No. 14 Cuba.

The two other host cities are Lima, Peru (July 14 to 18) and Oklahoma City, USA (September 12 to 16)

The Women's Softball World Cup Finals 2027

The top-two finishers of each group and two wild cards will advance to the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals 2027.

Redcliffe, Australia, will host the eight-team Finals from 5 to 11 April, 2027.

Japan are the reigning World Champions after winning the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup 2023/2024, beating USA 6–1 in the final. Canada claimed the bronze medal with a thrilling 11–7, 11-inning win over the Netherlands.
