IOC announces 2026 Youth Olympic Games dates

Baseball5 will feature on the programme of the Games in Dakar, Senegal.

The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will open on 31 October and run through 13 November.

The 14-day period is designed to best suit the athletes' school curriculum, meteorological conditions and other international sports events and celebrations.

We now know the dates of the first ever Olympic event to be held on the 🌍 African continent‼️
The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Dakar 2026 will take place from 3⃣1⃣ October to 1⃣3⃣ November.

Dakar 2026 will coincide with Africa Youth Day, 1 November, an essential celebration in Senegal.

Baseball5, the five-on-five version of baseball/softball, will feature on the programme of the Youth Olympic Games 2026.
