Second Baseball Champions League Americas to be played in April 2025

The Mexican Baseball League will host the event at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium, home of the Diablos Rojos. The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (American Association) won the inaugural edition in 2023. WBSC President Fraccari: "We foresee the day when we will honour a Champion of Champions, the winner of the global Champions League."

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced that the second edition of the Baseball Champions League Americas (BCL Americas) will take place from April 8 to 13, 2025. The Mexican Baseball League will host the event at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium, home of the Diablos Rojos.

The second BCL Americas will be a six-team tournament featuring hosts Diablos Rojos of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) as well as champion clubs from Cuba, Curaçao, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and USA.

The Yucatan Leones and the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) hosted the first edition of the BCL Americas at the Parque Kukulcan Alamo Stadium in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico from September 28 to October 1, 2023.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks won the four-team tournament, defeating Barranquilla Caimanes (LPB) in the final. The hosts, Leones and the Granma Alazanes (Cuban Serie Nacional), also participated in the event.

The Champions League is the first WBSC property involving leagues and clubs.

"The Champions League Americas opens a new chapter in international baseball," said WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari after the first edition. "We look forward to launching a Champions League Asia and a Champions League Europe. We foresee the day when we will honour a Champion of Champions, the winner of the global Champions League."
