Baseball5 to feature in school activities in Lima, Peru

The National Baseball Federation is implementing a massive Baseball5 development programme and believes that school classes can be talent hot spots.

The Inmaculada Jesuitas school in the Surco District in the Lima Metropolitan Area (Peru) hosted a Baseball5 course for physical education teachers. Yolvis Coa, the head coach of the Baseball Federation of Peru (FDPB), ran the course with the ultimate goal of having the teachers introduce their students to the five-on-five version of baseball/softball.

Commissioner Miriam Rodriguez highlighted the importance of collaboration between the FDPB and the country's education system, as physical education will be the core of Baseball5 players' development.

The initiative is part of an ambitious plan to develop Baseball5 in the Lima Metropolitan Area, which FDPB is implementing through its Baseball5 National Commission.

"We believe that school classes can be our talent hot spots," stated FDPB in a press release.
