Team Caribe win Puerto Rico's Superior Double-A League All-Star Game

They defeated Team Atlantico, 7-5, for their fifth consecutive win. Dilan Rosario (Gurabo Halcones) earned MVP honours.

Team Caribe defeated Team Atlantico, 7-5, to win the Puerto Rico Superior Double-A League All-Star Game in front of a sellout crowd in Pedro Perucho Cepeda Stadium in Cataño. It's the fifth consecutive win for Team Caribe, managed by Roberto Lopez (Las Piedras Artesanos), which includes the best players from the East, Southeast, Central and South Divisions. Team Atlantico includes players of the Northwest, North, Southwest and Metro Divisions.

Team Caribe broke the score open in the seventh thanks to an RBIS single by Nelson Molina (Cayey Toritos) and a two-RBI single by Melvin Reyes (Coamo Maratonistas). Dilan Rosario (Gurabo Halcones) and Kenen Irizarry (Caguas Criollos) hit home runs. Rosario went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and earned MVP honours.

Rubén Ramírez (Juncos Mulos) pitched two innings and struck out three, earning the Best Pitcher's honours.

Jesmuel Valentin (Florida Titanes) hit a three-run homer for Team Atlantico. Jaime Ayende (Hatillo Tigres) suffered the loss.

Jay Feliciano (Hatillo Tigres) won the Home Run Derby with five home runs, while Kevin Melendez (Carolina Gigantes) won the Catchers Contest.

Team Cano Garcia dominated the Game of Legends against Team Robert Lugo, 10-2. José Juan Collazo hit three home runs and earned MVP honours. Orville Batista earned the win on the mound, while Heriberto El Zorro Bermudez suffered the loss.
