Cuban Baseball Elite League approaches midseason with tight race at the top

The Cuban Baseball Elite League 2026 opened on 2 May and the 40-game regular season will continue through 19 June. The semifinals will start on 21 June 21 with the championship series scheduled from 2-10 July.

Lara win Venezuelan U-18 Baseball Championship

Lara defeated Carabobo in the final. Both will participate in the XXII Youth National Games together with Monagas, Aragua, Zulia, Guarico, Carabobo and La Guaira, the host state.

Puerto Rico Superior Double-A League to open 2026 postseason

The best-of-five Division semifinals start over the weekend. The eight Division champions will advance to the Carnival of Champions, with the top four finishers playing in the league's semifinals and final. San Sebastian Patrulleros (pictured above) had the best record, 19-1.

It's the 68th edition of the event. The 19 participants will split into four groups and compete in Aragua, Carabobo and Guárico, with Carabobo hosting the playoffs. The top seven finishers will advance to the National Youth Games.

KBSA announces revision of Baseball Club Division Leagues

Youth and Adult leagues will now operate under a promotion-and-relegation system. The season, involving over 16,000 athletes in 780 teams across 122 leagues, started on April 18.

80th Golden Lion National High School Baseball Tournament to open on May 2 in Korea

High school and club teams, totalling 57 participants, will compete through May 16. KBSA President Hae-young Yang commented: "KBSA President Hae-young Yang. "We hope that this 80th anniversary edition will serve as a stepping stone for players' growth."
