KBSA announces revision of Baseball Club Division Leagues

Youth and Adult leagues will now operate under a promotion-and-relegation system. The season, involving over 16,000 athletes in 780 teams across 122 leagues, started on April 18.

The Korea Baseball Softball Association announced a complete revision of its Baseball Club Division Leagues, which will now operate under a promotion-and-relegation system.

The Adult Division starts from Level 6 (city, county and district level) and the top division is Level 3 (national level).

The Touth Division starts from Level 3 (introductory or hobby) and has also Level 2 (development) and Level 1 (high performance).

"This structure ensures a continuum of participation throughout the life cycle," stated KBSA in a press release.

The Association plans to expand participation in grassroots Baseball and build a virtuous cycle linked to high performance sports.

"This initiative aims to establish a mid-to-long-term development plan for baseball in collaboration with local communities," added KBSA.

The Korean Baseball Club Division includes over 780 teams across 122 leagues and involves over 16,000 athletes. The 2026 season started on April 18.
