Venezuelan U-18 National Baseball Championship involves 19 States

It's the 68th edition of the event. The 19 participants will split into four groups and compete in Aragua, Carabobo and Guárico, with Carabobo hosting the playoffs. The top seven finishers will advance to the National Youth Games.

The Venezuelan Baseball Federation (FEVEBEISBOL) announced that the 68th U-18 National Championship opened in Aragua, Carabobo and Guárico during the weekend with teams representing 19 States split into three groups.

Cagua is hosting Group A at the Rafael Kinsler Stadium. The hosts, Aragua, will face Bolivar, Sucre, Monagar and Táchira.

Guarico hosts Group B at the Pancho Pepe Croquer Stadium in San Juan de Los Morros where they face Nueva Esparta, Miranda, Trujillo and Yaracuu.

San Joaquin is hosting Groups C and D.

Group C, which play its games at La Pedrera Stadium, includes Anzoátegui, Cojedes, Zulia, Caracas, and Falcón.

The hosts, Carabobo, play in Group D at the Alberto Bigote Vásquez and will face Barinas, Lara and Mérida.

After the opening round, the top two finishers in each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

Carabobo will host the entire playoffs. The quartefinals start on Thursday, May 14, with the semifinals on Friday, May 15, and the medal round on Saturday, May 16.

The top seven finishers will advance to the National Youth Games.
