Expanded Cuban Baseball5 National Team roster set for Cardín Cup preparation camp
The Giraldo Córdova Cardín Superior School for High Performance Athletes (ESFAAR) will host an expanded roster of the Cuban Baseball5 National Team during the final two weeks of May as the programme begins preparations for a busy international season.
The training camp will feature a series of competitive games between Cuba Blanco (White) and Cuba Rojo (Red), showcasing some of the country’s top Baseball5 talent. Cuba White will include seven members of Cuba’s Baseball5 World Cup-winning team, while Cuba Red will feature eight reigning Youth Baseball5 World Champions.
The matches will serve as the first stage of Cuba’s preparation for upcoming international competitions, while also providing coaching staff with an opportunity to assess players in a competitive environment.

In addition to the games, athletes will undergo individual and team evaluations focused on physical condition, technical ability and overall performance development.
Cuba is preparing to compete at the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026, scheduled for 9–13 December in Puerto Rico, as well as the Baseball5 event at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
