Argentina's La Plata University hosts Baseball5 course

The Baseball5 course for 12 teachers started with the basics of the sport. The ultimate goal is to get students to play the five-on-five version of Baseball and Softball.

The La Plata University (UNLP) in Argentina hosted a Baseball5 clinic for 12 teachers from Lincoln, Santa Clara del Mar, Chascomus and La Plata.

The Regional Softball Association (ARS) coordinates Baseball5 development in the area. Victor Aramayo, a WBSC-certified Baseball5 game official, coordinates the activity.

"The ultimate goal is to get students to play Baseball5," Aramayo said. "We start from scratch, go through technical aspects, the rules and the basic knowledge of the field and the players' positions. La Plata University hosted the first course, and we plan to have more in the area."
