Puerto Rico Superior Double-A League to open 2026 postseason
The postseason of Puerto Rico's Superior Double-A League, the top competition sanctioned by the Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico (FBPR), is set to open on Thursday, May 14, when the Manati Atenienses take the field at 20:00 (local time) at the Félix Mantilla Stadium in Isabela against the Hatillo Tigres. It will be the first of the two Northern Division best-of-five semifinals. All the other series will start over the weekend

The winners will advance to the best-of-seven Division finals.
The eight Division champions will compete in the Carnival of Champions (Carnaval de Campeones), a seven-game round robin with the top four finishers advancing to the league's best-of-seven semifinals. The Championship series will also be best-of-seven.
The Juncos Mulos are the defending champions.
The Northwest Division winners, San Sebastian Patrulleros, finished the regular season with a historic 19-1 record, the best among the 45 participants in the 2026 season.
Outfielder Edison Mora (Guayama Brujos) confirmed as the league's Batting Champion with a .487 batting average.
"I'm grateful to God, and I want to thank all who believed in me," Mora commented. "I couldn't have done this alone. I am proud of the chance I have to represent Guayama, and I try to do it to the best of my ability."
On April 23, 2026, veteran right-hander Jean Félix Ortega (Fajardo Cariduros), the active pitcher with the most wins in the league, recorded his 94th win. Ortega played his 24th Double-A season.
FBPR announced that the media will vote for the MVP, Pitcher of the Year, Manager of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Reliever of the Year Awards through May 15.
