80th Golden Lion National High School Baseball Tournament to open on May 2 in Korea

High school and club teams, totalling 57 participants, will compete through May 16. KBSA President Hae-young Yang commented: "KBSA President Hae-young Yang. "We hope that this 80th anniversary edition will serve as a stepping stone for players' growth."

The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) will host the 80th Golden Lion National High School Baseball Tournament from Saturday, May 2, to Saturday, May 16, at Mokdong Baseball Stadium and Shinwol Baseball Park in Seoul.

The participants include 57 high school and U-18 club teams who have earned the right to participate through the Nation's weekend leagues.

KBSA confirmed that the automatic ball-strike system and the on field video review will be available to support the umpiring crews.

The official KBSA YouTube channel will stream all the games. SPOTV will broadcast the tournament nationwide starting with the quarterfinals.

"The Golden Lion Tournament has been a cradle of Korean baseball, producing countless star players," commented KBSA President Hae-young Yang. "We hope that this 80th anniversary edition will serve as a stepping stone for players' growth and a festival that conveys the unique passion of high school baseball to fans."
