WBSC publishes 2025 Carbon Footprint Report and Climate Impact Report

By making both reports publicly available, the WBSC seeks to promote greater transparency and encourage measurable climate action throughout the global Baseball/Softball community.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has published its 2025 Carbon Footprint Report and 2025 Climate Impact Report, reaffirming the organisation's commitment to transparency, accountability and sustainability across its global activities.

The reports provide an updated overview of WBSC's environmental footprint and the climate-related initiatives supported by the Confederation, while offering stakeholders insight into the organisation's ongoing efforts to measure, manage and reduce its environmental impact.

Building on the WBSC's earlier carbon footprint work, which used 2022 as the initial baseline for its emissions reduction strategy, the 2025 Carbon Footprint Report adopts 2024 as an updated baseline year. This enables the WBSC to assess its latest emissions profile against a more recent operational context and identify opportunities for further improvement. The report highlights travel-related emissions as the organisation's primary area of impact and a key focus for future action.

Climate Impact 2025

The Climate Impact Report outlines a range of WBSC-supported initiatives aimed at addressing climate change through ecosystem restoration, conservation and renewable energy projects across three continents.

Readers are encouraged to consult the full reports for detailed information on the WBSC's environmental performance, methodology and climate initiatives.
