Baseball Champions League Americas to open in Mexico City on Tuesday

The Kane County Cougars (American Association) will face the Santa Maria Pirates (Curaçao Double-A League) in the opening game. The hosts, Diablos Rojos (Mexican Baseball League), will play the Florida Titanes of the Puerto Rico Double-A League. "I'm positive the Baseball Champions League will be as successful as the Baseball World Cup," commented WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari during the pre-tournament press conference.

Second Baseball Champions League Americas to be played in April 2025

The Mexican Baseball League will host the event at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium, home of the Diablos Rojos. The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (American Association) won the inaugural edition in 2023. WBSC President Fraccari: "We foresee the day when we will honour a Champion of Champions, the winner of the global Champions League."
