WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Rockford 2026 schedule announced

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has officially announced the schedule for the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Rockford 2026, set to take place from 22 to 26 July at Rivets Stadium in Rockford (IL), USA.

The tournament will bring together six of the world’s top-ranked national teams as they compete for a place in the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals 2027, which will also take place in Rockford.

Group Rockford

World No. 2 USA will host Group Rockford and face a highly competitive field featuring No. 3 Canada; No. 4 Mexico; No. 8 Hong Kong, China; No. 10 Australia and No. 12 Korea.

The five-day Opening Round will follow a round-robin format with three games scheduled daily at 11:00, 15:00 and 19:00 local time. USA will headline the evening session each day.

Opening Day on 22 July will feature Canada against Hong Kong, China in the morning game, followed by Australia versus Mexico in the afternoon. Hosts USA will close the opening day against Korea under the lights at Rivets Stadium.

To ensure schedule flexibility in case of inclement weather, Monday, 27 July has been designated as a rain date by the WBSC and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) - the International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC).

Group Tainan

The second group stage of the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup will be played from 23 to 27 August in Tainan (TPE) at the Secondary Field of the Asia Pacific International Baseball Complex (ASPAC).

Group Tainan will feature world No. 1 Japan, No. 5 Venezuela, No. 6 Chinese Taipei, No. 7 Cuba, No. 15 Great Britain and No. 21 Philippines.

The WBSC will announce the official Group Tainan schedule at a later date.

Road to the Finals 2027

The WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2026/2027 is being played under a two-stage competition format. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Finals, which will be hosted in Rockford (IL), USA from 19 to 25 July 2027.

In its 10th edition, the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup continues to showcase the growth of women’s baseball worldwide, bringing together the sport’s elite national teams on the road to crowning a world champion.

Seven-time winners Japan are the defending champions, having beaten USA, the only other winners of the title - in 2004 and 2006 - in the 2024 final.
