Aosta Bugs win inaugural Baseball5 National Championship in Italy

The Bugs defeated the Braves (Lombardia Region) in the final on March 8 at the Montebelluna PalaMazzalovo indoor arena in Treviso. The National Championship started with a regional phase involving 21 teams from nine regions, from the northwestern Valle d'Aosta to Sicily in the south.

The Aosta Bugs (Aosta Valley Region) defeated the Braves (Lombardy) in the final, 2-0 (11-1 and 3-0), to claim the inaugural Baseball5 Italian National Championship.

The PalaMazzalovo indoor arena in Montebelluna (Treviso Province in the Veneto Region) hosted the Final Eight.

Aosta advanced to the final eliminating the Rivello Kings (Campania), while the Braves overcame Arezzo (Tuscany).

Twelve Regions and 23 clubs participated in the first edition of the Italia Elite Baseball5 National Championship: Tuscany (two teams), Campania and Basilicata (three teams), Lazio (two teams), Puglia (two teams), Lombardy (four teams), Veneto (three teams), Sicily (four teams), Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Aosta Valley (one team).
