Save the Date: Baseball Umpiring (dual) Certification & Basic Clinic on November 27-30 in Toulouse, France

The WBSC Europe Baseball Umpiring Committee is happy to announce that they will host a new Certification & Basic Clinic from 27 to 30 November, 2025, in the city of Toulouse, France. This clinic offers dual Certification for both WBSC and WBSC-Europe.

The WBSC Europe Baseball Umpiring Committee is planning on hosting a clinic tailored to National Federations seeking to expand their international umpire roster. As already announced, as from 2024, it is a mandatory prerequisite that newly added umpires need to be certified before being admitted to international tournaments organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).

The sign-up process for the WBSC Europe Certification Clinic will be through Federations only.

Key Details for WBSC Europe Certification & Basic Clinic:

  • Location: Toulouse, France
  • Dates: 27-30 November, 2025
  • Target Audience: Federations aiming to have more Certified Baseball Umpires for WBSC (Europe) competitions.
  • Fees: €350 for registration, tuition, lodging and meals; excluding travel expenses.

Since this will be a one-time, double certification clinic, the WBSC Europe Baseball Umpiring Committee provides for both WBSC (3) and WBSC Europe (5) instructors.

In the future, a single, uniform WBSC certification programme will be implemented.

Initially, there are approximately 30 spots available for this clinic, with provisions to accommodate more participants if necessary.

Registration for the clinic is open. For more information, please contact your National Federation, which will provide details on the formal application process.

Deadline for registration is 18 October.
