Second Baseball TC Development Course now available on WBSC Academy

The second edition of the Baseball Technical Commissioner Continuing Development Course is now available online on the WBSC Academy. 

The course consists of three lessons and is mandatory to maintain the WBSC Baseball Technical Commissioner (TC) License for those TCs who did not receive an assignment to a WBSC event in 2023.

Lesson One identifies how the WBSC Official Rules of Baseball differ from MLB’s Official Baseball Rules that were used in the past.

Lesson Two identifies key changes in the rules and regulations packages that are critical for WBSC Technical Commissioners’ work at events.

The third and final lesson is about the best practices to manage scenarios occurring at WBSC events.

“The WBSC Academy allows us to provide continuing development courses with updated content in English and Spanish to Baseball Technical Commissioners around the world. We can now better support TCs at WBSC, Continental, National and local levels,” WBSC Baseball Technical Commission Chair Jim Baba said.  

The WBSC Academy published the first edition of the course in 2022. The second edition requires approximately 90 minutes. Participants must answer quiz questions to complete each lesson and advance through the course.
