Eva Trevisan is the new Italian Blind Baseball Association President
The Italian Blind Baseball Association (AIBxC, a WBSC Associate Member) elected Eva Trevisan as its new President.
Born in 1980, Eva Trevisan has been a star in the Italian Softball League since 1994. She played 36 games for Pianoro Blue Girls in 2025, posting a .390 batting average and a .467 on-base percentage. Trevisan, who is a member of the WBSC Paralympic Commission and represented the WBSC at ASOIF's Women Lead Sports Programme in March, 2024, succeeded Alberto Mazzanti, who has been named the organisation's Honorary President.
The AIBxC Executive Board will include Vanna Franca Bruzzi, Lorenza Guerra Seragnoli, Stefano Malaguti, Giorgio Napoli, Isabella Seragnoli, Alfonso Somma, and Valeria Turolla. Francesca Buscaroli will be the internal auditor. Somma has recently been named to the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP) Athletes Commission.
"AIBxC looks at the future with new energy," stated the organisation in a press release. "We are ready to do our best to develop blind baseball nationally and internationally."
