Puerto Rico announces free entrance at Women's Baseball World Cup Qualifier against Canada
The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation (FBPR) announced that all games of the best-of-five series between World No. 3 Canada and No. 9 Puerto Rico, which will determine the winner of the 11th spot in the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage 2026, will be free to access.
FBPR will host the series from Wednesday, April 29, to Sunday, May 3, at the Roberto Clemente Walker Stadium in Carolina, a city in the northeastern coastal plain of the island, immediately east of San Juan and Trujillo Alto
"The series represents a special event for Puerto Rico's baseball community since it's the first-ever international women's baseball event that the island hosts," stated FBPR in a press release.

The Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage 2026
The winner will join No. 2 USA, No. 6 Mexico, No. 8 Hong Kong-China, No. 10 Australia and No. 12 Korea in Group Rockford (Illinois, USA) from July 22 to 27.
Tainan (TPE) will host the other group from August 23 to 27. Five of the six participants have qualified: No. 1 Japan, No. 5 Venezuela, No. 6 Chinese Taipei, No. 7 Cuba, and No. 28 Great Britain. The WBSC will award a Wild Card to the sixth team.
Finals 2027
The top three finishers from each group will advance to the Finals, which Rockford will host from July 19 to 25, 2027.
