Softball Asia has announced that Weihai, China, will host the 3rd U-15 Women’s Softball Asia Cup in 2026, a qualifying event for the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup 2027. The seven-day tournament will take place from 12 to 18 October 2026.

Hosted by the Chinese Softball Association, the event will be staged at the newly built Sports Base in the High-Tech Zone of Weihai, which is set to be inaugurated in 2026. Weihai, a seaport city in eastern Shandong Province, is known for its long golden beaches, clear blue waters, and rich cultural heritage.

The tournament venue, located on the central island of Shuangdao Bay, is currently under construction and expected to be completed by mid-2026. Additional supporting facilities under construction include parking areas, tourist centres, and various entertainment and leisure amenities, such as children’s playgrounds, campsites, and fishing platforms.

The tournament will serve as the Asia continental qualifier for the III U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup with the top two teams securing a ticket to the 2027 World Cup.
