WBSC Academy: Edition 4 of Baseball Technical Commissioner Continuing Development course now available
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced the publication of the fourth Baseball Technical Commissioner (TC) Continuing Development programme. The course is available through the WBSC Academy platform.
Individuals from WBSC Member Federations are eligible to complete both the WBSC Baseball Technical Commissioner Licensing Programme and Continuing Development courses. To access the menu, please click on LICENSING PROGRAMMES.
The project was led by WBSC Baseball TC Licensing Programme Project Lead Shari Reiniger (Canada), with support from WBSC TC's Jan Kuipers (NED), David Nagy (AUS) and Enrique Burgos (PAN), as well as the late Jim Baba, the long-time WBSC Baseball Technical Commission Chair. The WBSC dedicated the course to Baba's memory.
This Continuing Development course ensures that Technical Commissioners are properly updated on WBSC Baseball rules and regulations, TC tools and reports, and key scenarios and strategies encountered at WBSC events. It is delivered in both WBSC official languages - English and Spanish - and provides expert-level technical training for anyone who runs baseball championships at local, national, continental or WBSC levels.
Instructors for this programme include WBSC’s most experienced Baseball Technical Commissioners, Technical Directors and leaders who have worked at a variety of World Cups, Premier12 and Olympic level events, as well as the MLB’s World Baseball Classic.
Participants in the programme can come from all over the world and value the commitment to updating their knowledge and skillset.
