World Baseball Classic champions Venezuela take trophy across the country

The trophy also visited the headquarters of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee in Caracas, where it was showcased alongside the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup 2025 trophy, highlighting Venezuela’s unique achievement as reigning world champions in both men’s baseball and men’s softball.

Venezuela has launched a nationwide trophy tour following its historic triumph at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, giving fans across the country the opportunity to celebrate the nation’s first title.

Organized by the Venezuelan Baseball Federation (FEVEBEISBOL), the 25-day tour will take the championship trophy to all regions of the country, beginning in Caracas before continuing through each state.

The initiative aims to bring the achievement closer to communities, particularly young players, while reinforcing the impact of the national team’s success on the country’s sporting identity.

“The goal is for all Venezuelans to experience this moment,” said FEVEBEISBOL official Aracelis León. “We want children to see the trophy and dream of achieving even more for the country.”

This month's World Baseball Classic triumph is the fourth time Venezuela have been declared baseball world champions after titles in 1945, 1944 - when the Baseball World Cup was held in Caracas - and in 1941 on Cuban soil in Havana. It's also their seventh baseball/softball world champion crown across all age groups having become softball world champions as well last year - drawing level with Korea in seventh spot.

The trophy visited the headquarters of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee in Caracas, where it was showcased alongside the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup 2025 trophy, highlighting Venezuela’s unique achievement as reigning world champions in both men’s baseball and men’s softball. Venezuela secured its first Men’s Softball World Cup title in 2025 with a 3–0 victory over New Zealand in the final.

The tour opens in Caracas before moving to Miranda and continuing through Aragua, La Guaira and Nueva Esparta over the first weekend.

In the following days, the trophy will travel east to Sucre, Anzoátegui, Monagas and Delta Amacuro, before heading south to Guayana Esequiba, Bolívar and Amazonas.

The route then continues through the plains region, visiting Apure, Barinas, Portuguesa and Cojedes, followed by stops in Guárico, Carabobo and Yaracuy.

The final leg of the tour will include Lara, Falcón, Zulia and Táchira, before concluding in the Andean states of Mérida and Trujillo.

The trophy tour builds on widespread national celebrations that followed Venezuela’s title win and is expected to draw strong attendance at each stop, with fans given the opportunity to see the trophy up close and take part in organized activities.

Venezuela’s victory at the World Baseball Classic, as well as their qualification for the LA28 Olympics, marked a milestone for the country, further strengthening baseball’s role as a central element of national culture and inspiring a new generation of players.
