Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, the second-place finishers in the Caribbean and North and Central America Qualifiers joined the USA, Venezuela and Cuba, completing the set of five WBSC Americas countries and taking the number of qualified teams to 11. South Africa start favourite as WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup Africa Qualifier begins in Kenya

South Africa introduced the team in two ceremonies in Johannesburg (pictured above) and Cape Town. South Sudan will participate in an international tournament for the first time. The other contenders are Uganda and Kenya. Kenya will host the event at the Nairobi Field of Dreams at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi.
